Club Improvements & Achievements

2012/2013

  • The swimming pool has been renovated and is now in compliance with the Board of Health, Environmental Health Services and American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Implemented a free chipper program and a Firewise Workshop to the residents so that SLWCC can become a "Firewise Community"
  • Painted 80% inside the clubhouse 
  • Worked to control aggressive dogs and prevailed 
  • Started a community directory

2011/2012

  • New entrance sign, stop signs and flagged speed signs as reminders
  • Major road improvements with good results
  • Repaired and upgraded the underground waterlines and plumbing for the pool and showers
  • Installed new carpeting in the Clubhouse
  • Acquired pool-side tables and metal trash bin
  • Acquired commercial safety mats for the bathrooms to prevent slipping and falling
  • Acquired a pool table with accessories
  • Installed a new section of fence in the pool area as acquired by the Americas with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Recruited a caretaker to help maintain and improve the community
  • Maintained the common areas around the lake, clubhouse and roadside ditches
  • Hired a new CPA who specializes in Non-Profit Home Owner Associations, resulting in cost savings for SLWCC - Scott E. Pernaa
  • Organized, painted and upgraded the SLWCC office and meeting room
  • We now have a first-responder Firefighter living in Sunlight Waters who works closely with Fire District #1
  • Began mailing quarterly newsletters and important information vital to our residents and lot owners
  • Revised and certified the SLWCC by-laws
